Welcome to Year 4.

Our Year 4 class are taught by Miss Daly and supported by Miss Aubrey.

In Year 4, we follow the Key Stage 2 curriculum. For our learning topics this half term please see our overview below.

Children in Year 4 will be assessed at the end of the year on their Times Table knowledge.  This is a national test and is administered by all schools throughout the country.  All children do have access to TTRockstars and a link is provided below.  Please encourage your child  to access TTRockstars as much as possible and move up our school leaderboard.

Class Routines

Reading books

Children should bring their reading books to school everyday so that we can read with your child. Once your child has read their book, they will take a quiz and change their book.  When you have read with your child at home please sign their reading record, so we know they have read.

Homework

Homework is given out on a Friday to be completed by the following Tuesday.

PE

PE kits should be brought to school on Monday and taken home at the end of the day on Friday. PE in school is supported by Manchester United Foundation and takes place on a Monday.

Swimming

From 10th February, our Year 4 class will be attending Heywood Sports Village to complete their swimming lessons as part of our PE curriculum. This takes place every Friday and the children may be back slightly later than 3:15pm. On this day, Year 4 will be dismissed from the front door of the school.
