At Our Lady and St Paul’s, we are proud to introduce our Pupil Leadership Teams, which empower our children to take on meaningful roles within our school and the wider community. Our teams include the GIFT Team, Eco Committee, School Council, Sports Council, and Playground Leaders. Inspired by the words from Proverbs 11:25, “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed,” these groups work together to uphold our school’s mission of love, learning, and living as friends of Jesus Christ.

Through service, leadership, and care for others and the environment, our Pupil Leadership Teams strive to make a positive impact, both locally and globally, embracing the core values of our Catholic ethos.

Our Pupil Leadership Teams

The Growing In Faith Together (GIFT) team are an active part in living out our mission at Our Lady & St Paul’s. They:
  •  Organise and run events collecting for local charities.
  • Lead a Rosary Club every October and May at lunchtimes
  • Plan and lead Jesse Tree worships during Advent at lunchtimes in the prayer garden
  • Plan and lead worships for major events in the liturgical calendar
Whilst class worships are planned by all pupils in classes, our GIFT team have been leaders in the running of this and taught and supported their peers by modelling good practice.

The Eco Committee focus on environmental stewardship and caring for our common home, inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical, “Laudato Si’.” These students lead initiatives to promote sustainability, reduce waste, and educate their peers about the importance of looking after God’s creation. They are passionate advocates for the environment, reminding us all of our responsibility to protect and cherish the world around us.

At Our Lady and St Paul’s, the School Council plays a vital role in giving pupils a voice and helping to shape school life. Made up of representatives from each class, the council meets regularly to discuss ideas, share feedback, and work on initiatives that benefit our school community. Through their leadership, they promote teamwork, responsibility, and a commitment to making Our Lady and St Paul’s a place where everyone can thrive.

The Sports Council at Our Lady and St Paul’s is dedicated to promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy living throughout our school. Made up of enthusiastic pupils, the Sports Council helps to organise sports events, encourage participation in physical activities, and inspire others to lead active lifestyles. Through their efforts, they foster a spirit of fun, collaboration, and sportsmanship, ensuring that everyone at Our Lady and St Paul’s can enjoy the benefits of being active.

The Playground Leaders at Our Lady and St Paul’s are a group of responsible pupils who help create a positive and inclusive environment during playtime. They take on leadership roles by organising games, supporting their peers, and ensuring everyone feels welcome and safe. Through their enthusiasm and teamwork, Playground Leaders foster friendship, cooperation, and fun, helping to make playtime an enjoyable experience for all.

These groups reflect our commitment to nurturing the hearts, minds, and spirits of our students, encouraging them to live out our Catholic values with intention and kindness. The Pupil Leadership Team is central to fostering a strong school community, showing that even the smallest acts, when carried out with love, can have a profound and lasting impact.
